Rainbow Cactus
Rainbow Cactus in a white pot
The Rainbow Cactus (scientifically known as Echinocereus rigidissimus, or its popular variety rubrispinus), is one of the most striking small cylindrical cacti.
It is named for its spines, which grow in horizontal bands of varying shades of bright pink, red, yellow, and white.
Basic Care Requirements: This cactus is relatively easy to care for, as long as you avoid excessive moisture, which is its biggest enemy:
Light: It needs full sun and direct sunlight for at least 6 hours daily. If you keep it indoors, place it next to the brightest window (preferably facing south). Bright light is essential for it to maintain its vibrant colors and bloom.
Watering: Water very sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again.
During the growing season (spring and summer), water approximately every 2–3 weeks, while in winter, stop watering almost entirely.
Total height 35 cm
