Purple turmeric
A beautiful plant with unique purple flowers, which most of us know only as a spice but we should say that it has many more gifts!
Turmeric comes from the homonymous plant whose roots are widely used in Asian cuisine for their unique flavor and which, when blooming, gives us beautiful purple flowers of unique aesthetic value. Turmeric is a tropical bulbous plant that can be planted in the garden and in a pot.
In full growth it reaches a height of about one meter, while its narrow leaves reach even higher, giving it an exotic feel. Under the ground, turmeric forms rhizomes in shades of yellow or orange, depending on the variety, which when dried and rubbed give us the well-known spice that we will also find under the names citrinoriza or turmeric.
